Unusual Collections – Yossie’s Handcuffs
Smith & Wesson, better known for making guns, is also maker of a line of handcuffs since
1920. Their website states, “When you put a pair of handcuffs on a suspect, only one word can describe your expectations . .
. confidence.” For Yossie Silverman, confidence is knowing that he probably has one of the largest collections of handcuffs
in the world. Yossie started by placing his small collection on the Internet in 1995.
Since then, his collection has grown
to over 369 handcuffs and other restraints and some of his collection takes up to 66 square feet of wall space in his bedroom. But that’s not all . . . in addition to his handcuff collection, his website also features a list of museums and links to other places
